The SCI Community Forum is provided as a public service to the SCI community. The purpose of the Forum is to promote communications between all of the individuals and organizations who have an interest in the island and the waters surrounding the island. All topic suggestions and articles submitted are screened by the Webmaster for appropriate language and content. Abusive or inflamatory comments are unacceptable, as is obscene language. However, writers are encouraged to express opinions, personal or organizational needs, or problems pertaining to the use of the SCI area.

The Webmaster: The Webmaster for www.scisland.org maintains the site as a collateral duty. Subsequently, reviewing of submissions is done as time permits, and is dependent upon the Webmaster's other duties and the volume of Topic/Article/Suggestion submissions.

How to use the Forum:

1. Topics: All articles written must fall into an established Topic category. If the Topic that you wish to write about is not present in the Topics list, then you can suggest your Topic for discussion by filling out the New Topic form. Suggested Topics will be added to the Forum by the Webmaster, usually within 24 hours of submission.

2. New Topics: Topics for discussion should be focused on SCI issues and concerns. "Anonymous" is acceptable instead of the originator's name.

3. Articles List: To read articles, you must first select a Topic. Clicking on a Topic will retrieve the list of Articles for that Topic. Click on an Article Title to read that article.

4. New Articles: To submit an article you must first select a Topic. Clicking on a Topic will "turn-on" the "Write an Article" selection in the menu at the top of the page. All articles are reviewed by the Webmaster for language and content prior to posting them to the Forum. "Anonymous" is an acceptable entry in the name field.
